President Emomali Rahmon Attends Gala event marking International Women’s Day
DUSHANBE, 07.03.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended a gala event hosted in the Kokhi Borbad Palace to mark International Women’s Day.
The President sincerely congratulated all country’s mothers and women with their holiday. He highly evaluated the role of Tajik women in protecting independence and its achievements and strengthening the foundations of the new national statehood.
Speaking at the event, the head of state Emomali Rahmon noted that the government has been paying a tribute to the greatness of women and mothers and has been honoring their dedicated work in all areas of society.
“Mother’s Day in Tajikistan is a messenger of spring, which coincides with the beginning of Navruz holiday on the solar calendar, which bring glad spiritual world of mothers that compatibility to beauty and diversity of nature of Tajikistan” – said Emomali Rahmon.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon also spoke about the selfless work and faithful service of Tajik women and girls in the ranks of the Armed Forces and those working on the Roghun HPP, and their great contribution to the development of legislation, entrepreneurship, trade, energy, financial and banking system, industry, agriculture, transportation, science and education, culture, health, sports and tourism, and all other socio-economic spheres.
Regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, he noted that Tajik citizens should not believe misinformation of interested circles, but instead rely on official data that is disseminated daily through the media.
In closing, President Rahmon expressed his hope that the glorious Tajik mothers will continue to make a significant contribution to the implementation of the instructions set at presidential address to the Supreme Assembly and promote the implementation of the presidential executive order announcing 2019-2021 as a period of development of rural areas, tourism and folk crafts, as well as educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and national pride.
He noted that Tajik women can make a great contribution to the development of laws, improving public health care, regulation of national traditions and rituals, attracting society to books and mastering crafts as well as preventing undesirable phenomena in the region and the world.
