President Emomali Rahmon Presides Over the Governmental Meeting
DUSHANBE, 01.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon presided over a regular session of the government of Tajikistan.
The meeting focused on the implementation of the governmental decree “About the Agrarian Reform Programme of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period 2012-2020.» Minister of Agricultural Amonullo Salimzoda presented a report on the matter.
During 2012-2019, 207 million somoni has been allotted from the state budget as part of industry programs, and 840 million somoni was attracted with foreign state investments.
As a result of cooperation with relevant bodies to implement targeted measures of the program, in 2019 the total agricultural output reached 27.7 billion somoni, which is 9.1 billion somoni more than in 2012.
Responsible persons reported on the State Guarantees Program for providing the population with health care in pilot cities and districts for 2020-2022, the State Program for the Protection of the Historical and Cultural Heritage for 2021-2025, the Rules for admitting students to institutions of higher professional education in accordance with the presidential quota and the general plan of the city of Guliston of Sugd.
Government members discussed the bills which have been submitted to the Assembly of Representatives for consideration, including the draft laws “On Amendments to the Tax Code,» “On the Code of Administrative Offenses,» On Compulsory Insurance of Civil Liability of Vehicle Owners,» «On the Fight Against Corruption,» “On Criminal Procedure Code,» On State Gender Policy.»
At the end of the meeting, President Emomali Rahmon called for the timely fulfillment of the set tasks and instructed government officials and government agencies regarding the preparations for the upcoming celebration of the 30th anniversary of independence, spring planting, disaster risk reduction and reinforcing coastal protection works as well as the heating season.
Instructions were given to prevent infectious diseases, especially COVID-19, to strengthen sanitary measures, disinfect streets, squares, public places, premises and residential buildings, and to carry out explanatory works among the population.
