President Emomali Rahmon Had a Telephone Talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin
DUSHANBE, 08.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
At the outset, on behalf of the government and people of Tajikistan, President Emomali Rahmon congratulated Vladimir Putin and the friendly Russian nation with the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, wishing them success and prosperity.
The counterparts stressed that this victory was achieved due to the unity and courage of all the people of the former Soviet Union.
«Victory Day is our common history and holiday and will forever remain in our hearts and memory,” said President Rahmon.
President Emomali Rahmon noted that the unprecedented feat of our fathers and grandfathers who heroically fought at the front-lines and worked on the home front, will remain a source of our eternal pride, because they provided a decent life and created peace and freedom for future generations.
«Their heroism and dedication will forever remain in our memory. I am sure that Victory Day will continue to serve toward the progressive development of Tajik-Russian relations,» he noted.
Other issues relating to the bilateral cooperation within the Tajikistan — Russia strategic partnership were also discussed.
