FM Muhriddin: 286 Citizens Will Be Repatriated From Syria Upon Stabilization of COVID-19 Pandemic

DUSHANBE, 27.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, more than 500 Tajik citizens are in the camps of Syrian opposition forces. This was announced today at a press conference by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin.
Muhriddin noted that an agreement had been reached on the repatriation of 286 Tajik citizens. They will be repatriated as soon as the situation with the COVID-19 stabilizes and international flights resume.
“In this regard, the ministry has authorized the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kuwait Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda, who is also the Ambassador to Syria, to move forward with the set plan. The ministry is also working with international institutions to repatriate Tajik citizens,” Muhriddin added.
