Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan on the Illegal Act of Border Crossing by Terrorists

DUSHANBE, 26.04.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On April 26, two members of an international terrorist organization illegally crossed the state border line from the territory of Afghanistan in the area of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region in order to commit a terrorist act in Tajikistan, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Both terrorists were neutralized by the forces of the law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan, and the biased plan of them and their supporters was foiled.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its deep concern about these terrorist acts on the illegal crossing of the state border, strongly condemns them and states that the border of Tajikistan is fully protected, and the country’s security forces will adequately and promptly respond to the actions of any individuals or groups who intend to violate the state border.
