Khatlon Enterprises Increase Production by Over 186 Million Somoni

DUSHANBE, 28.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – In last six months, industrial enterprises of Khatlon region have produced 3.8 billion somoni worth of products, which is 186.2 million somoni more than last year. This was announced today by the Chairman of the Khatlon region Kurbon Hakimzoda at a press conference.
According to him, the share of the processing industry in the total industrial production was 40.5%, mining — 2.5%, electricity production — 56.4% and water supply — 0.6%.
“In last six months, regional enterprises have produced 11,096 tonnes of meat, 2,818 tonnes of chicken meat, 267.3 tonnes of sausages, 488.1 tonnes of dairy products, 2.601 million units of canned products, 771.1 tonnes of confectionery, 98 tonnes of pasta,” he said.
Today 90 types of the most important industrial goods are being produced in the region.
The number of enterprises is increasing annually in the region.
“Over 110 new industrial workshops and enterprises are planned to be built by the 30th anniversary of independence.Forty-six enterprises and workshops have already been commissioned,” Hakimzoda explained.
