Construction of Marble Powder Production Plant and Innovation Park Begins in Darvoz
KHOROG, 28.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The construction of the Marble Powder Production Plant and Innovation Park was launched in Darvoz in anticipation of the 30th anniversary of independence.
The Marble Powder Production Plant will be built on the foothills of the marble deposit in Vishkharv village, and upon its completion the plant is expected to utilize local raw materials for its production. The foundation work of the plant is underway.
The Darvoz Innovation Park with four production facilities will be housed in the Durobak area. The first facility will produce and processes honey from mountainous areas. The second is designated to produce protective clothing, masks, gloves, and goggles for medical personnel. The third will focus on the production of various antiseptics and other medical products. The fourth will house two large 48-meter greenhouses for the cultivation of cucumbers and tomatoes for domestic consumption.
The construction process involves more than 50 architects and specialists from Darvoz, Vanj and Ishkoshim districts. The industrial plant is being built on 1.5 hectares of uncultivated land. Its construction began on May 6.
The Darvoz Innovative Enterprise is scheduled to be completed by August 15, 2020.
Upon completion, the four production plants and two large greenhouses in Darvoz Innovation Park will create jobs for hundreds of residents.
