PM Rasulzoda’s Trip to Sughd Begins from Panjikent

DUSHANBE, 23.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – While on a working trip to Sughd region, Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda visited Panjikent, where he got acquainted with the construction of various facilities, including a copper processing plant, a dried fruit processing workshop, the central hospital, educational institutions and the building of the Agency for State Financial Control and the Fight Against Corruption, jubilee objects in the historical and archaeological Sarazm reserve and the activities of industrial enterprises.
The copper processing plant will be built by the government in collaboration with foreign investors.
While inspecting the activities of production enterprises of this industrial region, Rasulzoda instructed officials to take measures for the earliest possible implementation of the project for the construction of a copper processing enterprise.
In Panjikent, as part of the upcoming celebration of the 30th anniversary of state independence and the announcement of 2019-2021 as the Years of Rural Development, Tourism and Folk Crafts, the construction of 405 objects has been planned. Of these, 266 objects have already been built , including 81 in 2018, 161 in 2019 and 24 objects in last six months.
Rasulzoda also held a working commission’s meeting in the Sarazm reserve to strengthen the work on creation and improvement works for the celebration of the 5500th anniversary of Sarazm.
It was emphasized that all planned objects will be built with architectural and construction requirements and national elements. Today, work in this direction continues at an accelerated pace.
Rasulzoda also expressed concern about the misuse of household and field plots, unsatisfactory re-sowing progress in Panjikent. He instructed officials to develop the agricultural sector and strengthen explanatory work among the population.
