It was with deep sadness that I learned of the news of the large-scale destruction caused by floods and landslides, which resulted in human casualties in the south of Japan.
In connection with the tragic consequences of this natural disaster, I express my deep condolences and sympathy to the relatives and friends of the victims. I wish all those injured a speedy recovery.»
