Independent Trade Unions Nominate Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon for Presidential Post

DUSHANBE, 26.08.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The XXII Congress of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan — Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan was held today in Dushanbe, where deputies unanimously nominated the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon as a presidential candidate in the upcoming election.
The Chairman of the Trade Union of Education and Science of Tajikistan Ramazon Odinazoda, veteran of trade unions Murodali Solehov, Chairman of the Trade Union Council of Sughd region Sharifullo Abdullozoda gave speeches about the incumbent’s valuable and unique services, especially in restoring national unity, peace and stability in society, his devotion to the homeland and sincere love for his people, care and kindness for orphans and the poor, young and needy families, and his support for entrepreneurs and more.
The congress also heard a report on the General Council of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions for the period from May 25, 2013 through August 26, 2020 and the next tasks of the trade union, as well as the report of the Audit Commission of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan.
The delegates approved the draft Charter of Independent Trade Unions, the Action Program of Independent Trade Unions for 2020-2027, the structure, authorities, members of the General Council and the Audit Commission of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions.
The deputies elected Ismoil Faizizoda as the Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan and Nigora Nazarzoda — as the Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan.
