President Emomali Rahmon Exchanges Eid Al Adha Greetings with Turkish President Erdogan

DUSHANBE, 01.08.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
During the conversation, the heads of state exchanged sincere greetings on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha.
President Rahmon stressed the true traditions of this holiday which embodies the universal human values of brotherhood and close ties of friendship, harmony, mutual understanding, trust and solidarity.
While exchanging opinions on the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, President Rahmon expressed his deep condolences to the people of Turkey who lost their families and loved ones and a speedy recovery to all those currently battling the illness.
President Rahmon also thanked the Turkish side for providing medical assistance, and for assistance in returning Tajik citizens to their homeland.
In this regard, the counterparts confirmed their readiness to resume regular flights between the two countries in the near future.
Other current matters related to the further development of bilateral ties between the two countries were discussed with a focus on trade, economy, security, and preventing global threats.
Other topical international and regional matters were also discussed during the meeting.
