Visit of Uzbekistan’s Legislative Chamber’s Delegation Continues in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 22.09.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The visit of Uzbekistan’s Legislative Chamber’s delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Chamber Ulugbek Inoyatov continues in Tajikistan.
Today, an Uzbek delegation will visit Tursunzoda.
Yesterday, the Uzbek delegation was received by the Chairman of the National Assembly Rustam Emomali. The meeting focused on topical issues and prospects for cooperation between the legislative authorities of the two countries.

A meeting of the inter-parliamentary friendship group was also held, during which the delegations of the two countries discussed the implementation of the provisions of the agreement signed between the Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan and the Representatives Assembly of Tajikistan in 2019, as well as outlined promising directions for building up inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The Uzbek parliamentarians’ delegation was received by the Chairman of the Representatives Assembly Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda.

On September 2, by the Decree of the Council of the Representatives Assembly, the Friendship and Cooperation Group of the Representatives Assembly with the Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan was established. The head of the group is Deputy Chairman of the Representatives Assembly Dilrabo Mansuri.

In order to implement the agreements reached, on September 18-19, a representative delegation of Uzbekistan led by the First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Laziz Kudratov visited Tajikistan.
The Uzbek delegation included the heads of ministries and departments, administration of regions and Tashkent, a chamber of commerce and industry and a business community of 165 people.
Detailed negotiations were held with representatives of ministries and departments, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and business representatives of Tajikistan, including in the B2B format in order to form a package of new investment agreements and trade contracts.
The delegations of the two countries also considered the preparation of the Tajik-Uzbek business forum, scheduled for September 29 this year in Dushanbe.
