DUSHANBE, 11.10.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – Five candidates are running for the highest office in Tajikistan.
Voter turnout in the Tajikistan presidential election as of 12:00 local time has reached 46.44%, or 2.29 million people, according to the member of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda Nosirjon Salimi.
“The proud people of Tajikistan are casting their ballots in a free and transparent atmosphere, in accordance with the electoral legislation of the country,” he added.
In order to ensure the transparency of the elections, the voting process is being monitored by national and international observers.
