DUSHANBE, 03.11.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
President Rahmon expressed his condolence in connection with the terrible terrorist act that took place in Afghanistan, resulting in loss of human life.
He expressed his condemnation of the terrorist act and expressed his confidence that such actions of extremist groups will not hinder the decisive steps of Afghanistan on the path to lasting peace and stability.
President Rahmon noted his satisfaction with the Intra-Afghan peace talks and stressed that Tajikistan fully supports the ongoing efforts of the Afghanistan to promote peace, stability and security.
During the telephone conversation, the sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation focusing on security in order to strengthen the relentless joint fight against regional and global threats and challenges, the eradication of terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking.
