DUSHANBE, 19.11.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – The Turkish International Cooperation Agency (TIKA) plans to provide the Tajik Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) with the infrastructure of modern exhibition pavilions of 1,100 square meters by the end of 2020.
TIKA Coordinator in Tajikistan Ibrahim Erbir said that the joint implementation of this project with the Tajik CCI will play an important role in trade turnover between Tajikistan and Turkey, because by holding many international exhibitions, the country’s potential will be activated and Tajikistan will be effectively promoted.
The project will strengthen the competitiveness of companies and promote the opportunities of the national economy, employment and investment in the medium and long term.
Modern pavilions also strengthen the CCI activities and increase the chamber’s opportunities for international cooperation.
Currently, the CCI has about 500 square meters of exhibition pavilions, most of which are dilapidated. Therefore, many international exhibitions are either not held or are held with the participation of participants as much as possible.
The TIKA Program Office in Dushanbe opened in 1995 and has implemented about 400 development and technical cooperation projects in education, health, agriculture, rural development, water supply, vocational training, and institutional capacity building.
