Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Attends ITC Steering Committee’s Videoconference

DUSHANBE, 04.12.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda took part in a videoconference of the steering committee of the International Trade Center (ITC).
The conference focused on issues relating to the activities of the Coordination Committee on Trade Facilitation and the process of implementing the Global Textile and Garment Program.
In his speech, Abdurahmonzoda noted that Tajikistan has a Coordination Committee on Trade Facilitation, whose members are representatives of ministries, departments and the private sector.
“For the purpose of transparency of the country’s trade policy, the Trade Portal of Tajikistan also functions, which provides information on 53 export, import and transit procedures (over 1,500 product names) in three languages,” he informed.
Abdurahmonzoda also provided information on the measures taken by the government to eliminate the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on trade, to strengthen export potential, and to accelerate the process of diversifying export-oriented goods.
