Committee for Emergency Situations Receives Cars and Modern Portable Radio Stations

DUSHANBE, 06.02.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CESCD) received technical equipment, including two cars and 50 modern portable radio stations for its units.
The equipment was donated within the cooperation of the CESCD and the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe in the field of disaster prevention and elimination and the joint ADB’s National Project on Disaster Risk Management.
The handing over ceremony was attended by CESCD Chairman Rustam Nazarzoda and the head of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe Valeriu Chiveri.
Nazarzoda emphasized the bilateral fruitful cooperation with the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe and stressed that this technology will undoubtedly help save many lives and facilitate the work of the rescue employees.

“The aid received is not just the necessary technical means, first of all it is a significant support for improving work in the field of rendering assistance to the population,” Nazarzoda noted.
In turn, Chiveri stressed that the OSCE will continue to closely cooperate with the CESCD in the field of preventing and eliminating the consequences of natural disasters.
