Apple is the First in Tajikistan to Pay Income Tax on Electronic Services

DUSHANBE, 23.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The foreign company Apple Distribution International Limited, which provides electronic services to individuals in Tajikistan, was the first to file its tax return for the first and second quarters of 2021 on July 16, and paid value added tax to the state budget for this period in the amount of over 238,000 somoni.
According to the Law of Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Tax Code,” foreign companies providing electronic services to individuals must be registered with the Tax Committee in accordance with the established procedure, calculate the value added tax and pay it in favor of the budget.
This year the tax authorities held several videoconferences and organized explanatory work with representatives of foreign companies providing electronic services in Tajikistan, as a result of the measures taken, 18 companies applied to the tax authorities and were registered.
