Tajik National University Passes the European Institutional Accreditation

DUSHANBE, 02.02.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik National University (TNU) is the first higher education institution in Tajikistan which has fully passed the European institutional accreditation, further strengthening its status, according to its Rector Kobiljon Khushbakhtzoda.
He added that on November, 2020, a group of international experts visited TNU and got acquainted with the university.
“Today, fortunately, after studying and submitting all the relevant documents, the Council of the Estonian Quality Agency for Higher and Vocational Education (EKKA) has recognized TNU in accordance with European requirements and standards,” he said.
He noted that EKKA carries out accreditation of higher education institutions and assessment of the quality of educational programs in Estonia and other foreign countries. Since 2013, EKKA has been included in the European Register of Quality Assurance in Higher Education. It is a member of the European Association for the Quality Assurance in Higher Education, the International Network of Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, and the Network of Central and Eastern European Agencies for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education.
