FM Muhriddin Meets UN Resident Coordinator Sinanoglu

DUSHANBE, 20.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the UN Resident Coordinator in Tajikistan Sezin Sinanoglu.
The parties discussed the ways to mitigate the socio-economic impact of the pandemic, including access to COVAX and results of the conducted joint event of the Ministry and the UN country team titled Comprehensive Dialogue Among the Governmental Ministries and Agencies and the UN Country Team on the UNSG Reform.
They noted that the arrangement of such joint events will facilitate the strengthening and enhancement of cooperation between the governmental ministries and development partners.
The parties also exchanged views on implementation of goals and objectives of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development 2018-2028” and relating international events, including the Dushanbe Conference – 2022.
The meeting was also attended by the Co-Chair of the International Steering Committee of the Dushanbe Conference – 2022 Sulton Rahimzoda.
