National Assembly Speaker Meets French Ambassador

DUSHANBE, 17.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, National Assembly Speaker Rustam Emomali met with the French Ambassador to Tajikistan Michel Tarran at his the request.
Considering the long history of good relations between the two countries, Rustam Emomali stressed that Tajikistan always pays special attention to the development of multilateral cooperation with France and considers expanding relations.
The officials expressed their common position and views on sustainable development, promotion and implementation of global initiatives, as well as on climate change.
Significant steps have been taken in recent years to strengthen trade and economic cooperation.
The development of inter-parliamentary relations as one of the effective mechanisms for the development of bilateral cooperation, as well as the need to intensify contacts between friendship and cooperation groups of the National Assembly and the French Senate was noted as important.
