DUSHANBE, 30.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday evening, a working meeting was held between representatives of Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on the settlement of the armed conflict in the border areas of Sughd and the Batken regions.
The parties agreed to stop hostilities, withdraw troops and military equipment from the border areas to their places of permanent deployment, and continue the negotiation process to stabilize the situation.
It was decided to create a working group from among the employees of the relevant bodies of the parties to monitor the implementation of the agreements reached and take urgent measures to de-escalate the situation on the state border.
