Turkey Ready to Provide Necessary Assistance to Tajikistan and Victims of Armed Conflict

DUSHANBE, 05.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khusrav Noziri met with the Ambassador of Turkey to Tajikistan Emre Zeki Karagol.
Karagol was informed about the recent events and the current situation at the Tajik and Kyrgyz border.
Noziri noted that Dushanbe has a strong political will to resolve all issues of border delimitation and demarcation with Kyrgyzstan only through negotiations and based on previous mutual agreements.
Referring to the long-standing friendly relations and cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey, Karagol noted that the Turkish side supports the resumption of talks between the delegations of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and joint efforts to resolve border disputes between the two neighboring countries.
He also expressed the Turkey’s readiness to provide necessary assistance to Tajikistan and the victims of the armed conflict.
The officials also exchanged views on the current state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey.
