DUSHANBE, 05.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) — Today in the afternoon, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a telephone conversation with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.
The counterparts discussed topical aspects of Tajik-Kazakh and regional cooperation.
Against the background of the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, they also discussed the current military-political situation in this neighboring country.
The parties expressed concern about the sharp aggravation of the situation in the northern and northeastern provinces of Afghanistan.
In this regard, in order to prevent existing threats to regional security, they focused on the importance of further joint steps towards strengthening the interaction between the competent authorities and the relevant ministries and departments of the two countries.
