DUSHANBE, 01.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas.
The discussion focused on key priorities of Tajikistan’s presidency in 2021 CSTO and topical issues on the international and regional agendas.
President Rahmon stressed that Tajikistan is consistently implementing the tasks of its chairmanship within the CSTO.
The sessions of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers, Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils have been held in Tajikistan and the upcoming CSTO summit is planned in Dushanbe.
The sides also exchanged views on the difficult military-political situation in the region and noted the necessity of strengthening the border security between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
