Tajikistan Supports the Brotherly People of Afghanistan in Today’s Difficult Conditions

DUSHANBE, 15.07.2021. (NIAT Khovar) — Yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with his Afghan counterpart Mohammad Haneef Atmar.
The meeting focused on the situation in the region and Afghanistan, the process of inter-Afghan negotiations, relations between Tajikistan and Afghanistan in various fields.
The ministers noted that the joint fight against terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking is an important area of cooperation between the two countries.
It was emphasized that in today’s difficult conditions Tajikistan provides support to the brotherly people of Afghanistan. Tajikistan and Afghanistan are successfully cooperating within the framework of international and regional organizations such as the UN, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and others.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the high level of political relations between the two countries.
