Dushanbe and Berlin Discusses Trade and Economic Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 06.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 3, 2021, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Federal Republic of Germany and the Eastern Committee of the German Economy (Ost-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft), an online forum was held between the economic bloc of Tajikistan and business circles of Germany.
Introducing the economic potential of the country and a favorable investment climate and referring to the existing traditional mechanisms, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Davlatali Said, called on German entrepreneurs to take an active part in the implementation of priority projects of the country.
The authorities of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, State Committee on Investments and State Property Management, Committee on Tourism Development, Export Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and representatives of the relevant agencies took part and made statements in the forum as well.
The forum was attended by representatives of more than 50 various German companies. After the official part of the event a fruitful exchange of views took place between the Tajik and German business circles.
There was a proposal to hold similar forums between separate sectors of the economy in the future. German business circles expressed their readiness to organize a trade and economic forum of the two countries in Tajikistan next year.
