Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Participates the UN Food Systems Summit

On September 23-24, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and addressed the UN Food Systems Summit.
This high-level gathering served as an important platform for drawing more government attention, as well as regional geographic groups, to fulfilling their commitments in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in particular in the area of food security.
In his speech, Muhriddin emphasized the importance of agricultural development through the use of new technologies to reduce the negative impact of various factors to environment and creating a green economy.
He informed the summit participants about the priority areas of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan until 2030, in particular in the sphere of ensuring food security.
