DUSHANBE, 02.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – President Emomali Rahmon signed an executive order awarding Order of Ismoili Somoni in 1st degree to former Minister of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, national hero of Afghanistan Ahmad Shah Massoud.
According to the document, the Order of Ismoili Somoni in 1st degree was awarded for Ahmad Shah Massoud ’s facilitation and mediation to inter-Tajik negotiations in 1993-1996 and his significant contribution to the peace process in the Republic of Tajikistan.
