DUSHANBE, 02.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – In honor of the 30th anniversary of state independence, President Emomali Rahmon signed an executive order awarding the Order of Ismoili Somoni in 1st degree to former President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Burhanuddin Rabbani.
According to the document, the Order of Ismoili Somoni in 1st degree was awarded for Burhanuddin Rabbani’s facilitation and mediation to inter-Tajik negotiations in 1993-1996 and his significant contribution to the peace process in the Republic of Tajikistan.
