DUSHANBE, 23.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon’s pre-recorded video message will be played during the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, which is taking place in New York. The recording will present his views on international events, focusing on Afghanistan.

President Rahmon had previously noted his concern over the alarming developments in Afghanistan.

He had noted that in order to urgently solve the political security problems of the neighboring country, it is necessary to create an inclusive government with the participation of all national minorities, including the Tajiks of Afghanistan, who make up more than 46% of the population of this country.

“Tajikistan does not recognize any other government created in this country through oppression and persecution, without taking into account the position of the entire people of Afghanistan, especially all of its national minorities,” he said.

He added that Tajiks should occupy a worthy place in the future government of Afghanistan.
