DUSHANBE, 20.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited Rasht to review its socio-economic development, and to take part in the opening of the facilities commemorating the 30th anniversary of independence, as well as to hold a meeting with the locals.
His visit began with the opening ceremonies of the modern administrative building of the Executive Body of the State Authority of the Sangvor District, and the Tahmina hotel, wich was built at the expense of a local entrepreneur.
This was followed by the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kalidchai Zarrin preschool in Sangvor, which is designed to accommodate 100 children.
The opening ceremony of the administrative building of the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan was also attended by President Rahmon.
Following the inspection of the Exhibition of Agricultural Products, National Cuisine and Handicrafts, President Rahmon held a meeting with public representatives. He noted that the government is continuing to ensure sustainable socio-economic development of Sangvor and has so far channeled more than 914 billion somoni to the area.
He noted that eight public investment projects worth more than 24 million somoni have been implemented in the district, with three more underway.
Also, 150 million somoni of foreign direct investment has been attracted to the district during the same period.
President Rahmon stressed that the Program of Socio-Economic Development of Sangvor for 2021-2025 provides for the implementation of 174 projects totaling 150 million somoni to further improve the infrastructure of the district, which will, in turn, create more jobs.
