DUSHANBE, 05.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The President of the friendly Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated the head of our state on his birthday and wished him good health and every success in his responsible state activities for the benefit of the people of Tajikistan.
The conversation also touched upon certain matters concerning a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
At the same time, the President Rahmon stressed that the people of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are bound by long-standing traditions of good neighborly relations and strong ties of friendship.
He also noted that to date, the parties have done a lot of constructive work to develop relations between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in the form of a strategic partnership. They also expressed confidence that this process will be further deepen and expand.
President Rahmon wished his counterpart success in the upcoming presidential election in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting the heads of both states also discussed topical issues on the regional agenda.
