Tajikistan and Azerbaijan Deepen Economic, Trade and Investment Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 08.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, a meeting of the Tajik and Azeri delegations was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda and the Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Ravshan Najaf.
The meeting focused on the expansion of economic, trade and investment cooperation.
The Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda, Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Umed Solehzoda, representative of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan, Tajik Ambassador Rustam Soli, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Alimirzamin Gavvam oglu Askerov and heads of Azeri companies spoke about investment opportunities, free economic zones, establishment of joint ventures in respective countries, as well as joint logistics centers in Tajikistan.
The parties agreed on a similar position for the development of untapped opportunities for cooperation at the state and private sector level of the two countries, and considered the regular organization of small and medium business forums as advisable.
