Dushanbe Will Host Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum

DUSHANBE, 25.11.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On November 30, Dushanbe will host the 14th meeting of the foreign ministers of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum.
The heads of delegations are expected to discuss issues of further fruitful cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Korea, taking into account the consequences of the pandemic, as well as regional and global processes.
The participants are expected to approve the candidacy of the new director of the Secretariat and adopt the Work Plan for the Forum Secretariat for 2022.
A joint statement by the foreign ministers of the participating countries will be adopted following the forum.
The first Business Forum Central Asia — Republic of Korea will also be held in Dushanbe on November 29 as part of the Cooperation Forum, which will become a platform for discussing further trade and investment cooperation of business circles in priority areas.
The Central Asia — Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum has been held since 2007 as a state-civil integrated advisory council to strengthen cooperation on mutual exchange and increase mutual understanding between the Republic of Korea and the countries of the Central Asian region.
