Meeting of Central Asia and EU FMs Begins in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 22.11.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – This morning, the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Central Asia and the European Union began in the Governmental Residence in Dushabe.
The meeting was attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Muhriddin, that of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev, Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev, Vice-President of the European Commission, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, and the Commissioner of the European Commission for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen.
The meeting is expected to focus on the current state and prospects of relations between the EU and Central Asia, the implementation of the EU Strategy for Central Asia, and the prospects of cooperation and expansion of ties.
