Indian PM Modi Highly Evaluates the SCO Summit and Other International Events Held in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 21.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday in New Delhi at a meeting with the Central Asian foreign ministers, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi highly evaluated the SCO Summit and other international and regional events held in Tajikistan.
The meeting focused on views on the state and prospects of relations between countries in the framework of the India-Central Asia Dialogue as well as key issues related to the current situation in the region and the world, including security threats.
Modi stressed the importance of developing bilateral and multilateral relations with each member state of the Dialogue and highly evaluated the 20th Jubilee Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and other international and regional events held in Tajikistan.
Taking into account the impact of COVID-19 on the economies of the Dialogue member states, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin stressed the need to develop interregional cooperation in trade, economy, industry, energy, transport, science, education, health and tourism.
He paid particular attention to the need to find new ways and methods of cooperation in these areas.
Following the meeting, participants expressed hope that the results of the Dialogue will contribute to further strengthening of this framework and achieving the goals ahead.
