Humanitarian aid of Tajikistan delivered to the affected population of Syria

DUSHANBE, 22.02.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Per initiative of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, on February 21, humanitarian aid in the form of food, clothing, medical supplies and other essentials in the amount of 55 tons was delivered to Damascus by two planes for the Syrian population affected by the earthquake.
The aid was received by Syrian officials and a special commission composed of representatives of relevant authorities.
During a press conference at the Damascus airport, the condolences of the President of Tajikistan to the people and leadership of Syria were conveyed to the Syrian side.
Syrian officials, on behalf of the government and the people, expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Tajikistan for timely assistance and support at such a difficult time.
