DUSHANBE, 07.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Marwan Abdullah Al-Ghanim.
The discussion focused on the current state of friendly relations and cooperation between Tajikistan and the State of Kuwait.
At the outset of the meeting, President Rahmon stressed that Tajikistan supports the expansion of multifaceted cooperation with Kuwait and is interested in developing cooperation with its important financial institution, in particular the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
Special focus was placed on the implementation of large joint hydropower projects, non-ferrous metallurgy, light and food industries, construction, roads, and communications.
The sides continued their discussion on further strengthening and expanding relations in agriculture, education, health care, mining, and processing.
President Rahmon expressed his satisfaction with the contribution of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development in the implementation of five transport and energy projects in Tajikistan.
The counterparts proposed to hold the Tajikistan — Kuwait Business Forum and exhibitions of agricultural and industrial products in order to develop and expand bilateral cooperation.
