DUSHANBE, 11.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a message to Angela Merkel on the end of her tenure as the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany during the period of 2005-2021.

The message reads, in parts:

“Excellency,

It is a great honor for me to be able to express my sincere gratitude for the sincere friendship, trust and tireless cooperation during your fruitful work as Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.

With fond memories I remember the meetings and conversations that I had with you over the past years. I would like to emphasize that we consider your contribution to strengthening and expanding Tajik-German relations of friendship and multifaceted cooperation very important. We greatly appreciate your services in this field.

I express the hope that the traditions of good relations and partnership between our countries will continue to develop, covering all new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.

I wish you good health, happiness and well-being, while to the friendly people of Germany, I wish further progress and prosperity.»
