DUSHANBE, 08.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Farhod Salim met with Mette Knudsen, who is serving as the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Afghanistan and Deputy Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA). Knudsen is on a working visit in Tajikistan to attend the 11th meeting of Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Central Asian countries.
The parties shared their views on the latest developments in Afghanistan, their impact on the region, and the need to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
