Tajikistan and UNCTAD Discuss Economic Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 08.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Areas of economic cooperation of Tajikistan with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) were discussed yesterday by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda and the UNCTAD Secretary-General Rebecca Greenspan.
Zavkizoda spoke about strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation and asked Greenspan to provide more assistance toward the digitization of the economy, digital commerce, simplification of trade procedures, and improvement of other priority areas.
The meeting was attended by the official delegation of Tajikistan consisting of heads and representatives of the Committee on Food Security, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Tajikstandard agency, and the Customs Service.
