DUSHANBE, 15.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The loss of electricity in the distribution network in January is 43.52%, which is 690.5 million kWh. This was announced yesterday at a press conference by the Chairman of the Open Joint Stock Holding Company (OJSHC) Barki Tojik Mahmadumar Asozoda.
According to him, the main reasons for the high level of losses are the incomplete turnover of electricity among consumers, long delays in registering meter readings, late preparations and submissions of the required reports, low level of labor discipline among inspectors, incomplete operation of the electronic billing system, slow control over the amount of electricity received, and its effective use.
“As a result of the measures taken and the full implementation of the billing program, electricity losses will decrease on a monthly basis. Currently, billing programs developed by domestic companies (Express Client, Smart Billing, and ZTE) are responsible for accruing and paying for electricity in the distribution grids of cities and districts,” Asozoda added.
He noted that in the Sino district of Dushanbe, within two years, 125,000 subscribers will be transferred to a billing system for paying for electricity. To date, 34,000 subscribers have already been transferred. After the Sino district, the billing system will be gradually introduced in three other districts of Dushanbe.
“In order to ensure the transparency of the work of energy inspectors, SMS messages will be sent to subscribers, which will notify them of the accrued and paid electricity consumption, payment terms, and the interruption of the electricity supply,” he concluded.
