Permanent Representative of Tajikistan Attends Meeting of Central Asian Representatives with UN Leadership

DUSHANBE, 10.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Tajikistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Jonibek Hikmat participated in a joint meeting of the Permanent Representatives of Central Asian countries to the UN with Rosemary DiCarlo, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, and Vladimir Voronkov, UN Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism.
The participants exchanged views on the impact of the recent developments in Afghanistan.
Hikmat stated the position of Tajikistan on the current security, economic and humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, and shared views on its implications for Tajikistan.
