Rustam Emomali Attends International Conference Entitled Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: Water Unites Us

DUSHANBE, 12.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, at the initiative of the Royal Academy of Sciences and International Trust (RASIT) in collaboration with a number of UN member states, including Tajikistan, there was held an international conference on the theme “Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: Water Unites Us.”
Tajikistan was represented by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali.
In his speech, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Tajikistan highlighted global water problems and emphasized the important role played by the world community in addressing those challenges.
He also underlined the significance of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular the SDG 6.

Rustam Emomali also spoke about the role of women and girls in the world community and in solving global problems and recalled the measures taken by the government of Tajikistan in this direction.
The meeting was also attended by the UN Secretary General António Guterres, President of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly Abdullah Shahid, Presidents of Slovenia, Cyprus, Portugal, Malta, Greece, Ecuador, as well as the Head of the government of San Marino, the ministers of Spain, Bhutan, the Republic of Korea and Latvia.
