Tajik, Turkmen Presidents Hold Phone Conversation

DUSHANBE, 15.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the current President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the newly elected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
President Rahmon congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the successful presidential election in Turkmenistan.
He also congratulated Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his election to the highest state post and wished him good health and further success in his responsible state activities for the further development and prosperity of Turkmenistan.
It was stressed that the brotherly people of Turkmenistan under the leadership of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov have made significant progress in the socio-economic development of the country and strengthening its prestige in the international arena.
President Rahmon also praised Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s efforts to strengthen and expand constructive cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue the interstate dialogue in all aspects of the agenda of bilateral and multilateral relations between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
President Rahmon invited Serdar Berdimuhamedov to pay an official visit to Tajikistan at a convenient time.
