English Teachers from Tajikistan Can Take Part in the OPEN Program

DUSHANBE, 06.04.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan is accepting applications from english teachers to participate in the summer 2022 term of the Online Professional English Network (OPEN) Program (former E-Teacher Program).
According to the Embassy, the OPEN Program offers 8-week professional development courses developed by U.S. universities on topics such as Developing and Teaching Academic Writing, Creating and Implementing Online Courses (CIOC), Fostering Student Motivation and Engagement (FSME), English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI), Methodology for TESOL, Content-Based Instruction, Integrating Critical Thinking Skills into the Exploration of Culture in an EFL Setting, Professional Development for Teacher Trainers, Teaching English to Young Learners, Teaching Grammar Communicatively, Using Educational Technology in the English Language Classroom.
It is also reported that applications for participation in the courses are accepted until April 25, 2022. Certificates and digital badges are issued by the U.S. Department of State for all those who pass the course.
