Tajikistan and Zimbabwe Poised to Deepen Bilateral Cooperation in Education

DUSHANBE, 02.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan and Zimbabwe have expressed readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation in education, particularly in priority areas such as modern technology integration and exchange of best practices. The announcement came during a meeting held on 29 May in Dushanbe between Tajikistan’s Minister of Education and Science, Rahim Saidzoda, and Zimbabwe’s Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Frederick Shava.
According to the Ministry’s press centre, the two sides discussed a wide range of cooperation opportunities, including student and faculty exchange programs, closer institutional partnerships, the use of artificial intelligence in education, and joint scientific and technological research initiatives.
Minister Saidzoda emphasized that collaboration in education is one of the most effective tools for strengthening intergovernmental relations.
In turn, Minister Shava expressed Zimbabwe’s strong interest in digital transformation and scientific cooperation, voicing willingness to develop joint educational programs, invite Tajik students and researchers to participate in academic forums, and implement collaborative projects in the fields of innovation and science.
This growing partnership reflects both countries’ commitment to advancing education as a driver of socio-economic development and global integration.
