President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon Holds Phone Talks with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev

DUSHANBE, 04.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) — Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The two leaders exchanged warm Eid al-Fitr’s greetings, wishing both nation peace and prosperity.
The counterparts continued their exchange of opinions on the current state and prospects of good-neighborly relations, friendship and strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in various fields of cooperation, including in trade, economy, as well as humanitarian and cultural spheres.
Expressing satisfaction with the process of their comprehensive development, they expressed confidence in the further enrichment of bilateral cooperation with new practical content.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited President Rahmon to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan. The exact dates of the visit will be agreed upon through diplomatic channels.
The parties also touched upon some topical issues of international and regional significance, including the security situation in Central Asia.
