Tajikistan and UN Discuss Preparations for Upcoming Water Conference

DUSHANBE, 24.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to UN Jonibek Hikmat met with the Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Liu Zhenmin.
The meeting focused on the preparation for the Second International Conference on International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028” to be held from June 6 through June 9 in Dushanbe and the participation of Zhenmin as the co-chair of the Conference at the event.
The parties also exchanged views on the importance of the Dushanbe Second Water Conference for the UN 2023 Water Conference.
